4-H Rural Youth Fair


WHEN: September 7 & 8, 2007
WHERE: Mont Carmel Exhibition grounds 
in Abram's Village, Egmont Bay 
 
 
 
 
 
 
This celebration is the highlight of the 4-H calendar. During the Fair, each 4-H member showcases his/her 4-H project work completed throughout the year and competitions are held to determine the top projects in each Prince Edward Island division. 
Over 50 different categories of 4-H projects are on display, from muffins to mittens, book ends to blue jeans, and computers to calves.

Fun Activities for Children include:
Kiddies Korner Activity Area:
a fun area for children under 10. 

Lawn Tractor Driving Competition: Children manoeuvre through an obstacle course while driving a lawn tractor. This event is a full-filled, skill developing activity for children over 9 years of age. 

Games - Junkyard Creations:
Fun and unusual games for members and children of all ages.

Best Dressed Animal Contest:
A dress up competition for children and their favorite live animals, this event is fun for all! 

Best Dressed Stuffed Animal Contest:
If Flopsy or Spot won't co-operate with your dress up plans, you can still be part of the fun by dressing your favorite stuffed animal! 

Closing ceremonies: 
At the end of the day, each 4-H club, with all its members, parade in to the arena where prizes and awards are presented.
