Featuring the Canadian Oyster Shucking Championships, PEI Grading Championships, Miss Oyster Pearl Contest, Oyster Box Decorating Contest, Oyster/Scallop Suppers, and other entertainments! Wednesday, August 1 PEI Moosehead Trivia 7 pm Doors open 8 pm Play begins 19 Years & over
Thursday, August 2 6 pm Drop off decorated oyster boxes- all ages 7 pm Opening ceremonies 7:20 pm Miss Oyster Pearl Pageant - Girls casual wear 8 pm - Family Night- (Hypnotist Robert Lamar) suitable for all ages.
Friday, August 3 11 am-4 pm Kids' Day held in Green Park, Port Hill - featuring The Balloon Twisting Pirate. 4 pm-7 pm Tyne Valley Fire Hall- Fried Oyster & Scallop Suppers- $15. Turkey Cold Plate available $10. Meal includes roll, fries/potato salad, coleslaw, pie, and tea/coffee. 7 pm Miss Oyster Pearl Pageant- Girls street wear 7:30 pm PEI Oyster Grading Championships 8:30 pm Licensed Bar. Must be 19 years and over. Singing Contest featuring "The North Hearts Band". Semi-Finals 10 pm Canadian Oyster Shucking Championship. Contestants from all over Canada. Winner represents Canada @ the World Championship in Galway, Ireland.
Saturday, August 4 1:00 pm Community Parade, Tyne Valley Village 3:00 pm West Prince County Volunteer Fireman's Challenge- Outside Tyne Valley Community Centre(rink). 3:30 pm. Live entertainment featuring” The Ellis Family Band” 4 pm-7 pm Tyne Valley Fire Hall- Fried Oyster &Scallop Suppers $15. Turkey Cold Plate available $10. Meal includes roll, fries/potato salad, coleslaw, pie, and tea/coffee. 4:30pm-Out of the Sea And Over The Coals 10 pm Dance at Tyne Valley Community Centre (rink) featuring "Faces" & "Deuces Wild Band“. Licensed Bar. Must be 19 years and over.
Sunday, August 5 10 am Festival Worship Service Non-Denominational Ecumenical Service featuring Community Choir and plenty of musical components. 12 pm Matinee Sulky Horse Racing at Tyne Valley race track Valley Downs **NOTE: The matinee sulky races 2 pm Singing Contest Finals featuring “ The North Hearts Band" - Cash Prizes- $600-$300-$200. 4:30 pm Pageant and Community Awards- Oyster Box Decorating awards-Youth of the Year-Women's Institute Member of the Year-Citizen of the Year- Volunteer of the Year -Crowning of Miss Oyster Pearl, Festival Queen 2007-Appearance by Former Queen
